Jimmie Paul Anders was born March 15, 1957, in Fort Worth.
He was preceded in death by his father, J.C. Anders, in 1993.

Bernice Ashley was born July 28, 1923, in Chillicothe, Texas, to Adrian and Etta Thurman.
She and her husband, John, moved to Bella Vista three years ago from Fort Worth. She was a member of Bella Vista Baptist Church and Baptist Women's Missionary Unit. She was also a member of Christian Women's Club, Republican Women's Club and Bella Vista Women's 18 Hole Golf Association.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Pam Lowe; and sister, Mildred Sumruld.
Survivors: Her husband of 35 years, John Ashley of Bella Vista; daughters, Jamie Womack of Lubbock and Sharon Lorance of New Braunfels; brother, A.V. Thurman of San Antonio; and five grandchildren.

STEPHENVILLE - Lanis Garner Barnes, 74, a former DuPont Chemical employee, died Wednesday, March 17, 1999, at his home.

Lanis Barnes was born Sept. 28, 1924, in Pasadena. He attended Colorado State University and Louisiana State University prior to being drafted for military service in World War II.
After the war, he brought home a beautiful bride, Mary Alice Womack from Chatham, La. The couple enjoyed 51 years of marriage and three children. Lanis was proud of his Texas heritage and left little doubt that he was a proud son of Texas. Following his career at DePont, he pursued business ventures in true Texas industries of oil, timber and ranching. His devotion to God and family set an example we all strive to emulate. He will be dearly missed by his family and the many friends whose lives he touched.
He was a member of Harvey Baptist Church in Stephenville.
Lanis was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.M. Barnes and a brother,Gene Barnes, all of Pasadena.

FORT WORTH - Billy Jack Brannom of Fort Worth, a retired car man for the Texas & Pacific Railway, died Sunday at a Fort Worth hospital. He was 65.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington. Brown, Gause-Ware, Owens & Brumley Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Brannom was born in De Ridder, La., and had lived in the Fort Worth area for 49 years. He was a past master of Julian Feild Masonic Lodge 908, past high priest of Texas Chapter 362, Royal Arch Masons, and past thrice illustrious master of Texas Council 321. He was a member of Worth Commandery 19, Scottish Rite, York Rite, Moslah Shrine Temple, El Texa Grotto and the Order of the Eatern Star.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.

CLEBURNE - Nannie Billings, a homemaker and retired school cook, died Tuesday at a Cleburne nursing center. She was 100.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home in Cleburne. Burial will be in Kopperl Cemetery.
Mrs. Billings was born in Eulogy and lived in Cleburne for 32 years.
She was a member of College Heights Baptist Church and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

GREEN VALLEY, Ariz. - Charles L. Brown, 73, a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel, died Thursday due to complications of surgery.

"Charlie" was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on Oct. 17, 1923, to Charles H. and Leitha M. Brown, and grew up in Kansas City, Mo. He married Ruth F. Shaw, Aug. 12, 1944, while serving his country with honor in World War II as a pilot. He also served during the Korean War as a pilot and the Vietnam War as a command pilot. He retired from active duty Aug. 1, 1970, in Bedford, where he lived for 26 years before moving to Green Valley in April 1996. He was active in many Air Force retired officers associations. Charlie was a member of Mid Cities Bible Church and attended the Evangelical Free Church of Green Valley. He was a generous man with his time and resources and had an abundance of love for his Lord and Savior, his family, friends, and country. He had a genuine influence on those that knew him well and those who knew him briefly.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Doris M. Hill.

FORT WORTH - Ray White Bryant, 68, a retired medical executive, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, at home.

Ray White Bryant was born Dec. 31, 1930, in Fort Worth and received her bachelor of science and master's degree in medical technology from Texas Christian University. She retired from Harris Methodist hospital as director of laboratory service. During her career, she was an adjunct professor of medical technology at TCU and had been active in and president of the Texas Society of Medical Technologists. After retirement, she worked toward a doctor's degree in Oriental medicine until illness prevented her continued studies.
She had a keen interest in astrology and was past president of the Astrological Society of Fort worth. Her greatest pleasures were hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for her family and many friends. She was a generous, loving and giving friend to her daughters and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, O.W. and Irene White of Fort Worth, and a daughter, Bonnie Sue B. Mullen-Womack.

Mrs. Chatman was born in Caddo. She was a member of Valley View Baptist Church. She was married to James Claude Chatman, who died in 1966.

WEATHERFORD - Daniel Luke Chilcutt, a dairy farmer, died Monday at his Weatherford home. He was 92.

Mr. Chilcutt was born in the Central community and was a lifelong Parker County resident. He was a member of Central Baptist Church.
His wife, Alta Rich Chilcutt, died in 1987.

P. Hicks Daniel Jr. was born on May 10, 1924, in Amarillo, and had been a resident of Fort Worth since 1963, where he was a member of South Hills Christian Church. He served in the Navy during World War II and graduated with honors from Texas Christian University with a bachelor of science degree. His sales career began with John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Co. in Fort Worth in 1948. In 1957, he became the general agent for the John Hancock in Little Rock, Ark. Hicks returned to Fort Worth in 1963 to assume the general agent position here. He retired from Hays Envelope and Forms Co. in 1999. As a member of the TCU Ex-letterman's Club, one of his interestes was following TCU sports. He also enjoyed Texas Ranger baseball, bird watching, hunting, fishing and canoeing. He will be remembered as a loving and supportive husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents, P. Hicks Daniel Sr. and Hallie Womack Daniel of Galveston.
Survivors: Wife of 52 years, Jane Collier Daniel; son, David J. FORT WORTH - John R. Gibbs, 89, a retired aircraft tool maker for General Dynamics, died Thursday at a Fort Worth hospital.

Mr. Gibbs was born March 30, 1906, in Gordon. He came to Fort Worth in 1926 and worked for the city of Fort Worth before working for General Dynamics, where he retired after 29 years. He was past president of Sansom Park Lion's Club and a member of the Machinist's Union, Local 776. He was a member of the board of directors for crippled children in Kerrville.

She had lived in Manhattan for the past two years, where she was self-employed as a beauty consultant and was a senior at Kansas State University, pursing her degree in psychology. Eddie Smith and Rev. Robert Baldridge officiating. Burial is in Memoryland Memorial Park. Born in Dodson, La. on July 4, 1907, she was the daughter of SAMUEL BLAKE and TUDIA LOUISA WOMACK. She and Ernest Lingo were married in Greenville in 1923. Mrs. Lingo was a seamstress for Haggar's Slacks and also worked for A&P Grocery Store. She was a charter member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Ernestine Callaway of Greenville; two sisters, Rebecca Grimes of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Inez Owens of Stockton, Calif. two grandchildren, Charlotte Beavers and Lynda Kaye Brown; three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband on Nov. 11, 1978; three brothers and seven sisters. Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

R. Gene McCaughan was born Jan. 31, 1929, in Plainview. He was an Army veteran. He had resided in Hurst since 1960 and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hurst. He was a longtime member of the Mid-Cities Optimist Club, having served as president in 1996-97.
In addition, he was a founder and board member of the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Sports Hall of Fame, to which he was inducted April 4, 1998, in recognition of his many years of service to the youth of the area. He will be remembered for his love of life, his love of family and friends, his competitive spirit, his enthusiasm for sports and the many little nameless acts of kindness and love that were part of his day-to-day life.

Robert L. Oakes Jr. was born July 16, 1929, in Wichita Falls. He was a 1952 graduate of Texas Tech University. He was a highly respected architect in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and whose works are well known in the architectural community. He traveled extensively and had a keen interest in the arts. He was a member of Phi Kappa Psi at Texas Tech and was a member of the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners. He was a Korean War veteran, serving with the Army.
Bob was a light of humor and wisdom for his family and his many friends, who loved him very much. He will be missed dearly.
He was preceded in death by Robert L. Oaks Sr. and Inez M. Oakes, his parents.

MAYSVILLE, Okla. - Temple Francis Richardson, 84, died Sunday, July 20, 1997, at the home of her daughter, Betty, in Burleson, Texas, after a short illness.

Temple Francis Richardson was born Sept. 25, 1912, in Maysville, Okla., to Morris and Mollie Westfall Abernathy. She had been a resident of Maysville, Okla., all her life. She attended Garvin Springs and Maysville schools. On Oct. 7, 1933, she married Sam Richardson. They had been married more than 60 years at the time of Sam's death in 1994. Temple was a good neighbor and friend to many. She was a member of the Home Extension Club of Maysville. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Maysville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Mollie Abernathy; brother, Ebber; and two sisters, Vada Womack and Lula Shalton.

DAllAS - Dollilee Smith of Dallas, a former longtime Cleburne resident and poet laureate of the state of Texas from 1943 to 1945, died Tuesday at a Dallas hospital. She was 81.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Martin's Funeral Home in Cleburne. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Cleburne.
Mrs. Smith was born in Sandia and had lived in Cleburne from 1934 to 1966., where she and her husband operated Snow Flake Ice Cream and Dairy. She had lived in Dallas since 1968. Mrs. Smith was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma sorority and Field Street Baptist Church in Cleburne.
"She was most active in her writing in World War II," said Douglas Smith, her son. Mrs. Smith published a book of poetry, Today Is Mine, in 1943, and had many individual poems published. She was listed in Who's Who in the South and Southwest and was a member of Composers and Authors of America and the Avalon Poetry Society.
Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and chairman for the American Mother Committee, during the 1940s. She also was co-founder of the North Texas Parapsychology Association.
Survivors: Son, Douglas Smith of Richardson; two brothers, Gordon Davis of El Paso and Melvin Davis of Bryan; two sisters, Itasca Womack Rogers of Waco and Nellie Edna Thorn of Natchitoches, La.; and two grandchildren.

Herbert Rayford Thornton was born April 12, 1919, in Alvarado.
Herbert was a loving and devoted husband, father and friend to many.
He truly lived his Christian faith and it sustained him through his eight years of fighting cancer. A man of unfaltering faith and integrity, he served as an ordained deacon at West University Baptist Church in Houston, where he was a member for over 30 years and also director of the Adult II Sunday School Department.
After the early death of his parents, Herbert and three of his younger siblings went to live at the Masonic Home of Fort Worth. In 1950, after proudly serving in the Army during World War II, he went to work in the transportation department at Gulf Oil Corp., where he retired in 1983.
Herbert was preceded in death by his brothers, Marcel and Weldon Thornton; sister, Marvinell Thornton; and parents, Dee and Verde Thornton.

Ted Tomlinson Jr. was born Oct. 26, 1950, in Fort Worth, the son of Ted and Francis Tomlinson. Tommy married his high school sweetheart, Belinda Taylor June 24, 1972, in Fort Worth at University Christian Church. They were parents of one daughter, Hilary Ann.
Tommy attended Paschal High School and Texas Christian University.
Tommy served his country in the United States Air Force. Tommy had a lifetime affiliation with the printing business. He will long be remembered for his contributions and expertise in the industry. He was a member of the Association of Directory Publishers and the Yellow Pages Publisher Association.
Tommy's many friends will always remember his passion and conviction for life. Tommy lived life to the fullest, whether on his Harley-Davidson or listening to his favorite blues music or enjoying the company of his friends. He will be missed.

WEATHERFORD - Charles Ayres White, 59, a retired electronics technician, died Friday at a Weatherford hospital.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cotten-Bratton Chapel. Burial: Curtis Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. White was born April 30, 1937, in Detroit, Texas, and had been a resident of Parker County for the past 50 years. He retired from Panasonic Corporation in Fort Worth in 1991, after several years of service. He was a licensed minister, and he loved children and taught them in his ministry and in children's church.
He was a loving and kind husband, father, brother and friend, and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Sue White, in 1983.

BRIDGEPORT - Mary Chambers White, a homemaker and longtime resident of Bridgeport, died Thursday at a Bridgeport hospital. She was 80.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Balsora Baptist Church, Wise County, where she was a member. Burial will be in Boonsville Cemetery in Wise County. Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. White was born in Detroit, Red River County, and lived in Bridgeport 45 years. She was the widow of Thomas Lee White.

FORT WORTH - James "Jim" E. Williams, 65, a retired 37-year air traffic specialist, passed away Saturday, Aug. 14, 1999, in Fort Worth after a courageous five-year battle with emphysema.

James Williams was born Oct. 24, 1933, in Clarksville, Ark. He was in the Navy four years and served in the Korean War. He had been a Fort Worth resident since 1976 where he married Dec. 3, 1977. He was also an avid fisherman. He had been a member of Elks No. 124 since 1976.
He was loving husband, father and co-worker who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

AZLE - Retha B. Wilmott, 97, a homemaker, died Monday, July 19,
1999, at home.

Retha Wilmott was born on Sept. 9, 1901, in Wise County, Texas.
She loved her yard and flowers. She was a member of Fort Worth Bible Students. She married Joe Bailey Wilmott on Dec. 18, 1923; he preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 1980.

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS - James T. "Jim" Wood Jr., a retired engineer at General Dynamics Space Division, died Wednesday at a Fort Worth hospital. He was 59.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home in Colleyville. Burial will be in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mr. Wood was born in Atlanta and lived in North Richland Hills for about 30 years.
He was a former North Richland Hills councilman.
Survivors: Wife, Dolores Wood of North Richland Hills; son, James T. "Chip" Wood III of Bridgeport; two daughters, Cindy D. Wommack and Chryl L. Moyers, both of North Richland Hills; father, James T. Wood Sr. of Huntsville, Ala.; and six grandchildren.


KENNETH ELBERT ZIMMERMAN , born in Coleman, Texas, June 18, 1913, passed away December 17, 2008. Mr. Zimmerman was a graduate of Texas A&M University in 1934 with a degree in Architectural Engineering. He was a consulting engineer with the firm of Walter P. Moore and Associates, Inc. from 1946 to his retirement in 1982. During his tenure he was the structural engineer of record for the Houston Astrodome, Jesse H. Jones Hall, Rice Stadium, The Warwick Hotel and many more prestigious sites in Houston, Texas. He was a registered engineer and architect in Texas and a registered engineer in the states of Indiana, Virginia and South Carolina. He served with the Corps of Engineers in Army service from November 1941 to February 1946. From May 1943 his army service was with the Manhattan Engineering District at Oak Ridge, Tennessee, where he met his wife, Alma, to whom he was happily married since May 1946. Mr. Zimmerman was a member of Rotary Club of Houston, life member of the Houston Engineering and Scientific Society, member of the American Concrete Institute, American Institute of Steel Construction, Consulting Engineers Council of Texas and Texas Society of Professional Engineers. He is a member of Holland Lodge #1, A.F. and A.M., The Scottish Rite, The York Rite, and Arabia Temple. He was also a member and past president of the Houston TurnVerein. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Zimmerman and his daughter Sue Womack. Survivors include his daughter, Molly and son-in-law Bobby Harris of Katy, Texas; Son-in-law Fred Womack and his wife Jennifer of Kerrville; granddaughters Sherry Crawford and husband John of Houston, Texas; and Terry Till and husband Paul of Sugar Land, Texas; grandsons Dr. Kenneth Womack and wife Jeanine of Altoona, PA; Andrew Womack and wife Melissa of Austin, Texas; great grandsons Kyle Crawford, Keith Crawford, Brian Till, Cooper Till and Zach Till. Services will take place at Forest Park Lawndale Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 10:00 am. Visitation will be 9:00 to 10:00 am on the 23rd. Graveside services to follow, weather permitting. Officiating will be Reverend Jim Barclift. Pallbearers include: Bobby Harris, Fred Womack, John Crawford, Paul Till, Ron Pesek, and Dave Bennett. In 2006 a Scholarship in Structural Engineering was established in Mr. Zimmerman's name at Texas A&M University. In lieu of flowers friends may contribute to the Kenneth E.
